During the first lockdown in 2020, working remotely was a new concept for many of us. For some it was a welcome novelty and for others maybe not quite so much fun, but we got through it and in many respects life became pretty normal again as we headed down the alert levels. Until the Delta strain of the virus hit our shores in the middle of this year. Since then, workplaces have been even more challenged in keeping their teams together and cohesive. It’s been tough keeping support consistent, especially when our usual systems may not be as effective when offered remotely, and those small moments of connection that we used to take for granted, like a smile or a friendly “good morning”, are missing. Going ‘back to basics’ can be really helpful, and some of the simplest ideas can have the biggest impact. Here we share a few. Encourage your team to discuss these and they’ll come up with even more!
